Paralegal - Real Estate

Overview :

We are seeking a detail-oriented Real Estate Paralegal to join our team. This role is responsible for drafting, reviewing, and coordinating legal documents for high-volume real estate transactions. You will play a key role in ensuring the legal integrity and timely execution of transactions while supporting the legal department’s broader efforts to manage and optimize our real estate portfolio.

This role follows a hybrid schedule, with on-site work at our Chicago, IL office Monday through Wednesday, and the flexibility to work remotely from a home office on Thursdays and Fridays.

Responsibilities :

• Draft, review, and revise a variety of real estate legal documents, including leases, lease amendments, easements, license agreements, access and utility agreements, memorandums of leases, option agreements, and asset purchase agreements.
• Manage end-to-end real estate transactions, including coordinating due diligence, collecting and reviewing documents, preparing closing documents, and facilitating execution and recording of documents.
• Review and summarize title reports, surveys, and legal descriptions for accuracy and compliance with transaction requirements.
• Maintain, track, and update legal records, critical dates, document versions, and real estate databases to ensure ongoing compliance and efficiency.
• Coordinate across departments (Legal, Asset Management, Sales, Operations, Finance) to meet transaction timelines and resolve issues.
• Serve as a liaison with vendors to manage transaction workflows and ensure proper documentation and filing.
• Assist with document management, e-filing, and administrative tasks.
• Contribute to special legal projects and process improvements initiated by the legal team.
