Lead Fashion Designer

The Fashion Design Lead will take ownership of the creative direction for new seasons-developing fresh, trend-driven designs and ensuring consistency across all aspects of the brand's visual identity. You'll create mood boards, sketch and direct new styles, and collaborate with production and marketing teams to ensure every piece captures the brand's essence.

This is a unique opportunity for someone with an artistic eye, refined fashion sensibility, and the leadership ability to guide design from concept to creation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop new seasonal collections aligned with brand vision and market trends.
• Create mood boards and visual concepts to capture creative direction.
• Select fabrics, colors, and trims to bring each concept to life.
• Work closely with the production team to ensure samples meet design and quality standards.
• Provide creative input across marketing visuals, photoshoots, and campaigns.
• Stay ahead of fashion trends and propose new ideas that keep the brand innovative.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent brand messaging.
• Travel to the office as needed for fittings, design meetings, and creative sessions.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Fashion Designer, Design Lead, or Creative Director.
• Strong design portfolio showcasing creativity and commercial awareness.
• Exceptional eye for detail, color, and trend forecasting.
• Skilled in sketching, fabric selection, and creating mood boards (Adobe Suite, Canva, etc.).
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to balance creativity with business strategy.
• Flexibility to work remotely with occasional travel to the Brooklyn office.

Location: Lakewood, NJ (Hybrid - Remote & In-office as needed)

Type: Part-time (Flexible hours)

Salary: $40-$65/hour (higher for top candidates)
