Join our team as a Traveling Hospice Registered Nurse, where you will step in to provide essential support where it is most needed. This dynamic role allows you to offer direct care to patients and invaluable support to families, all while experiencing new settings that will keep you energized and fulfilled.
As a Traveling Hospice Registered Nurse, You Will :
- Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to hospice patients
- Develop and execute personalized care plans
- Lead and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team (including LPNs, CNAs, HHAs, etc.)
- Assess and respond to the physical, emotional, spiritual, and environmental needs of patients
- Ensure accurate documentation of all care provided and adherence to hospice protocols
- Educate families and caregivers on care instructions, medications, and safety practices
- Participate in on-call rotations and provide after-hours care when necessary
- Work collaboratively with physicians, referral sources, and the care team
- Assist with referrals, regulatory documentation, and payer compliance
- Travel to various hospice locations as needed to fill urgent requirements
Schedule & Travel :
This position typically follows a Monday through Friday schedule, with occasional on-call duties required. Travel will involve :
Option 1 : Overnight travel to locations within a 100-mile radius.Option 2 : Frequent overnight travel to multiple states.Option 3 : Regional travel with overnight stays based on assignment needs.A company fleet vehicle is provided for eligible employees.
Qualifications - What You'll Bring :
Current and unencumbered RN license in the state of employmentMinimum of 1 year of RN experience (hospice, home health, acute care, long-term care, oncology, or other high-acuity settings)Current CPR certificationValid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable transportationPreferred Experience (Not Required) :
