This is a fully remote position in the Buffalo, NY area. $100,000 - $120,000

Responsibilities :

As the Controller, you will be responsible for managing a wide range of financial functions, including but not limited to :

• Accounting : Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, perform financial analysis, and generate detailed reports to support data-driven decision-making. Ensure compliance with accounting principles, company policies, and relevant regulations.
• Invoicing : Oversee the invoicing process, ensuring timely and accurate billing to clients and customers. Monitor accounts receivable to ensure prompt payments.
• Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable (AP / AR) : Manage vendor relationships, process payments, and monitor outstanding balances. Work closely with customers to resolve any billing discrepancies.
• Payroll Management : Oversee payroll processing, ensuring accurate and timely compensation for all employees. Handle payroll tax compliance and reporting.
• Grants Management : Collaborate with the grants team to manage financial aspects of grant applications and reporting. Ensure adherence to grant funding requirements.
• Financial Reporting : Prepare and present regular financial statements, budget reports, and other financial analyses to senior management and stakeholders.
• Budgeting and Forecasting : Assist in the development and maintenance of annual budgets and forecasts. Monitor performance against budgets and provide variance analysis.
• Internal Controls : Implement and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.
