Our Client is seeking a Magnet Program Manager to lead their organization’s journey toward ANCC Magnet designation and elevate nursing excellence across all levels of practice. This role provides strategic leadership, operational coordination, and expert guidance to ensure alignment with Magnet standards while fostering a culture rooted in evidence‑based practice, shared governance, and high‑quality patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Magnet Strategy & Readiness
- Lead organizational gap analyses and develop action plans to achieve and sustain Magnet® designation.
- Oversee the Magnet® application, documentation process, and site visit preparation.
Program Coordination & Leadership
Manage Magnet Steering Committees, Professional Governance Councils, Magnet Champions, and cross‑functional workgroups.Serve as the main liaison to the ANCC Magnet® Program Office, ensuring clear communication and alignment.Data & Outcomes Management
Collect, analyze, and report nursing excellence metrics including nurse‑sensitive indicators, patient experience, and nursing engagement.Maintain a centralized repository of professional practice projects and empirical outcomes.Education, Support & Consultation
Educate leaders and staff on Magnet® standards and drive engagement in professional governance.Collaborate with nursing and interdisciplinary teams to promote evidence‑based practice and meet Magnet criteria.Support departments in developing and executing quality improvement initiatives.What You Bring
Expertise in quality improvement methodologiesStrong skills in data analysis, reporting, and presentationExperience leading interdisciplinary projectsExceptional coordination, communication, and multitasking abilitiesProficiency in MS Office; database management experience is a plusEducation & Experience
Master’s degree in Nursing required; doctorate preferredActive nursing license in the applicable stateSpecialty certification in leadership or professional development preferredMinimum 5 years of experience in nursing leadership or nursing professional developmentHealthcare experience required; pediatric experience preferredExperience working across all organizational levelsKnowledge of CMS, The Joint Commission, and ANCC Magnet standards
