Job Description

The City of Renton's Solid Waste Section is recruiting to fill a Maintenance Services Worker 1 vacancy. This position would be a good fit for someone that enjoys being outside in all types of weather.The work requires minimal supervision and provides opportunities for training and exposure to other street related duties.

The Maintenance Services Worker performs physically labor-intensive tasks in support of an assigned section within the Public Works Maintenance division. Work is performed independently and as part of a team. Tasks are completed with general guidelines and require some independent judgment. Contribute to the City's vision, mission, and goals in the performance of all job duties.

Recruitment Process :

The screening process will include a review of minimum qualifications and applicants selected for an interview will be invited via email to self-schedule a time through the Government Jobs account. At minimum, this position will be subject to a standard criminal background check and professional reference check. This position requires driving and is also subject to a driving record check from the WA State Dept. of Licensing (or other state equivalent). Driving records will be evaluated based on a points system depending on the infraction and severity.
