Senior Manager Financial Systems Analytics

As a Senior Manager Financial Systems Analytics, you will lead a team of data analysts that bridge IT and the interests of Hagerty's Finance and Accounting team. This team directly contributes to the collection and curation of data into the financial data warehouse and reporting from operational and analytic databases for financial, audit, and compliance needs.

In this role you ensure the end-to-end data lifecycle for financial systems is effectively configured, maintained, and optimized to support the organization's financial reporting, accounting processes, and overall financial analysis strategy. This role involves collaborating with Finance, Accounting, Treasury, Compliance, Audit, IT, and other departments to ensure that financial data is accurate, accessible, and supports business needs.

What You'll Do

• Oversee a team of analysts that identify, combine, and enrich data to design and develop measures and metrics for general ledger, financial reporting, and similar accounting and finance department needs.
• Actively contribute to the planning and execution of the accounting and finance data roadmap by creating development-ready requirements that include data source identification, data transformations, business rules, data validation rules, data reconciliation processes, data controls, and other requirements in collaboration with engineering, analytics, and business teams.
• Analyze financial processes and workflows, identify inefficiencies, and recommend system and process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
• Lead or participate in testing efforts for system upgrades, patches, and new implementations, ensuring that financial data flows correctly and aligns with business needs.
• Ensure the financial data system complies with relevant regulatory, audit, and internal control requirements, such as SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act).
• Ensure analysts produce code to enterprise standards for quality and documentation fit for product ionization.
• Oversee that reasonable measures are taken to ensure accuracy, appropriateness, and completeness of data and method of analysis for the task, problems and root causes are identified and solutioned.
• In your role, you support Hagerty by making measurable contributions towards your department results and establishing short- to medium-term operational plans for your teams (e.g., 1 3 years).
• Make decisions that impact the achievement of results for your department.
• Manage a budget for your area of responsibility or elements of the budget.
• Communicate with others both inside and outside of your area of work, typically influencing colleagues on other teams and promoting cooperation with policies and procedures.
• Interact with external stakeholders, like vendors or customers, on a regular basis for matters relating to your job area.
• As a people leader, you drive your team's effectiveness by making moderate to significant improvements to optimize systems, products, or processes to enhance broader performance.
• Manage experienced individual contributors and may manage more junior-level people leaders.
• Contribute to workforce and staffing plans for your area of responsibility.
• Provide coaching and development to your direct reports and often have authority in personnel decisions, like hiring and promotion within your own area.
