Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse - Night Shift

Schedule

Night Shift: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00) with the option for 4x12 upon request.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse with labor and postpartum experience to provide care in a dynamic hospital environment. The role involves floating between similar units as needed and requires a strong commitment to patient care and collaboration within the healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Manage a patient ratio of 1:3, providing direct care to patients during labor and delivery.
• Perform assessments and interventions related to labor and delivery, including triage of obstetrical patients.
• Utilize IUPC (Intrauterine Pressure Catheter) placement and calibration, and maintain central lines.
• Administer medications and therapies including anticoagulation therapy and magnesium sulfate.
• Conduct sterile vaginal exams and assist in C-section circulations when needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is required, including charge experience.
• Current California RN License.
• Certifications required: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRP.
• AWHONN Advanced certification is preferred.
