[job_card.job_description]Location : Mount Sinai Hospital, 1468 Madison Ave, New York, NY 10029 Schedule : 7 : 00 AM – 7 : 30 PM, 3 days / week Start Date : 01 / 05 / 2026 Shift Type : 12 hours, Days Requirements : Must have Stepdown experience in a hospital setting, BSN required, minimum 2 years experience Deliver patient care using Relationship Centered Care and nursing process based on evidence-based practice and standards. Assess and evaluate patient care needs with critical thinking. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and evaluate care plans. Educate patients and caregivers on care plans, health promotion, and disease prevention. Manage assignments within the Modified Primary Nursing Care Delivery Model. Role model Mount Sinai Relationship Centered Care practices including hourly rounding and bedside reports. Maintain therapeutic relationships with patients and families. Address patient concerns and escalate as necessary. Demonstrate empathy, respect, and active listening. Practice safe, efficient, patient-centered care. Participate in quality improvement projects and institutional review processes. Identify and escalate safety hazards following institutional protocols. Document nursing practice to support quality initiatives. Perform charge nurse duties as assigned. Coordinate supply management and escalate shortages. Document accurately following hospital and regulatory standards. Facilitate patient throughput efficiently. Support clinical colleagues and the healthcare team. Advance clinical competence and project a professional image. Incorporate ethical decision-making. Engage in lifelong learning and shared decision-making through committees.
