Med / Surg RN Job Details

Location : Kansas City, MO 64132 (Missouri healthcare jobs)

Unit : 6W Transplant Nephrology (20 beds)

Shift Duration : 12 Hour Nights

Shift : 12-hour night shifts (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM)

Schedule : 3 weekend shifts per month required

Contract Length : 13 weeks

Hours per Week : 36

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1570 - $1680

On-Site Registered Nurse Position

Start Date : December 4, 2025

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri or compact state

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required

BLS certification required

Minimum 1 year of recent Med / Surg nursing experience preferred

Experience with nephrology, kidney transplant, renal, or dialysis patients is a plus

Ability to work night shifts and fulfill weekend requirements

Proficiency with Meditech electronic documentation system

Royal blue scrubs required (black scrub pants permitted)

Med / Surg RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to Med / Surg and nephrology patients

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including PCTs, unit secretaries, and nurse educators

Manage a patient ratio of 1 : 6 in a clinical setting

Utilize Meditech for accurate and timely clinical documentation

Participate in a supportive environment with virtual nurse assistance for admissions

Float to other nursing units as needed per facility policy

Demonstrate commitment to patient safety, quality care, and positive patient experiences
