Strong computer and multitasking skills – must be able to talk and type simultaneously ? Comfortable using dual monitors and working across multiple systems
Position Title : Medical Assistant (contract-to-hire)
Location : Downey, 90241
Schedule : Full-Time, Monday–Friday 8am to 5pm
Pay Range : $20 – $24 per hour (based on experience)
Key Responsibilities :
- ? Provide virtual MA support for providers in the field
- ? Perform front office and back office MA duties in the clinic
- ? Greet patients warmly and manage check-in / check-out processes
- ? Verify and update patient data, ensure all required documentation is complete
- ? Schedule, confirm, and follow up on patient appointments
- ? Collect and reconcile co-payments at the end of each day
- ? Room and interview patients, record vital signs, and document reason for visit
- ? Assist in treatments, explain procedures, and administer prescribed medications
- ? Support 3 providers (each with a panel of approximately 200 members)
- ? Utilize Athena EMR and multiple systems simultaneously while maintaining accuracy
- ? Must be able to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced clinical setting
