Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and proactive
VMware Administrator to design, deploy, and manage a robust virtual infrastructure environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with
VMware, Veeam, and Omnissa Horizon (VDI) and will play a key role in ensuring system reliability, scalability, and performance across a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities: - Design, deploy, and maintain VMware-based virtual infrastructure, ensuring high availability and optimal performance.
- Administer and support Omnissa Horizon environments for Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI).
- Manage and monitor Veeam Backup & Replication to maintain data integrity and disaster recovery readiness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional IT and factory operations teams to implement new systems and technologies.
- Perform system upgrades, patch management, and regular maintenance across server and virtual environments.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for configurations, processes, and disaster recovery procedures.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues, providing Tier II/III technical support.
- Participate in on-call rotations and respond promptly to critical system incidents.
Required Skills & Qualifications: - 6-8+ years of experience in VMware administration and virtual infrastructure management.
- Strong hands-on experience with VMware vSphere, ESXi, and Horizon VDI.
- Proficiency in Veeam Backup & Replication tools.
- Experience with Windows and Linux server administration.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts, storage systems, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently in a factory or production environment.
Preferred Qualifications: - Certifications such as VMware VCP, Veeam Certified Engineer (VMCE), or similar.
- Experience working in manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Familiarity with automation and monitoring tools (PowerCLI, Ansible, SolarWinds, etc.).
