Job Summary
The Dental Receptionist manages front-office operations to ensure seamless patient experience and efficient clinic workflow. Key responsibilities include coordinating provider schedule, making patient appointments, patient outreach, and providing compassionate patient support.
Key Responsibilities
- Patient Coordination : Greet and check in patients, assist with intake forms, and communicate with clinical team to schedule follow up appointments as necessary.
- Schedule Management : Efficiently book, confirm, and adjust appointments for providers to minimize wait times and maximize office productivity.
- Financial & Insurance Management : Verify insurance coverage, process claims, collect co-payments, and explain treatment financing or payment plans to patients.
- Records & Compliance : Maintain accurate digital patient records and ensure strict adherence to HIPAA privacy standards.
- Office Operations : Handle multi-line phone systems, office emails, faxes, manage office inventory, and coordinate with dental labs and suppliers.
- Patient Experience : Address patient concerns with empathy and professionalism, helping to ease patient anxiety regarding dental procedures, answering their questions ensuring they have the best experience.
Qualifications & Skills
Education : High school diploma or equivalent is requiredTechnical Proficiency : Preferred experience with dental practice management software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Open Dental ), Google Suite, and Microsoft Office Suite.Industry Knowledge : Preferred familiarity with dental terminology, ADA billing codes, and insurance verification processes.Core Skills :Strong multitasking and time management in fast-paced environments.
