Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity is for a Special Education Teacher with a focus on Emotional Disabilities to provide essential support in an elementary school setting. The role begins January 5, 2026, and concludes May 29, 2026, with a commitment of 35 hours per week. It is designed for professionals licensed in South Carolina with an endorsement in Emotional Disabilities, ready to make a meaningful impact for students requiring specialized emotional and behavioral support.

Key Qualifications and Experience :

  • Valid South Carolina Special Education License with an endorsement in Emotional Disabilities
  • Experience working with elementary-aged children in an educational support role
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that address students' emotional and behavioral needs
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Expertise in classroom management and behavioral intervention strategies tailored to emotional disabilities

Location :

  • Elementary School environment in the Charleston, SC area, near Ladson

    • Responsibilities :

  • Provide targeted classroom support to students with emotional disabilities, ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to adapt curricula and instructional strategies
  • Monitor student progress and participate in IEP meetings and development
  • Employ evidence-based behavioral interventions and support positive student outcomes
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with district policies
