We are currently looking for an experienced Warehouse Shift Supervisor to help facilitate the day-to-day warehouse operations on the 2nd and 3rd shifts, ensuring accuracy, while following safety protocols, procedures, and practices.

The qualified candidate will demonstrate hands-on leadership in a team environment, possess a positive attitude, and have the ability to direct and motivate a team. This position will supervise and continuously improve all inbound, outbound, and internal inventory movement.  This is a full time (M-F), in person position.

Duties and Responsibilities

Supervise staff.  Oversee and direct warehouse staff, assign tasks, evaluate performance, and provide direction.   Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities and implementing change.  Drive an efficient and motivated workforce by providing effective coaching, feedback, and encouragement.

Manage daily operations.  Coordinate activities such as receiving, storing, pulling, and loading steel to maximize productivity.   Oversee daily order fulfillment operations, aiming for 100% accuracy.

Ensure safety.  Implement and enforce safety protocols, conduct safety audits, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.   Ensure all warehouse tools and equipment are in good condition and stay well maintained to prevent equipment failures.  Leading by example to ensure that all procedures and best practices are consistently followed.

Skills and qualifications

• Leadership.  Strong leadership and team management skills are a must for this position, as well as a strong work ethic.
• Communication.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with staff and other departments.
• Problem-solving.  Ability to anticipate and solve problems efficiently.
• Technical skills.  Familiarity with warehouse operations, inventory control, and equipment operation.
• Knowledge.  Understanding of warehouse safety regulations and procedures is crucial.
• Experience.  Previous experience in warehouse operations and a supervisory role is required.
