  • Each day there are approximately 15-20 surgical pathology specimens (biopsies and resections) and 3 non gyn cytology specimens per pathologist. There is approximately one night of frozen/ adequacy call per week and approximately 10 weekends per year (exceedingly rare to be called in on weekend). Autopsy is primarily performed by the Chief of Autopsy but other pathologists may do 1-2 autopsies per year if there is a case when he is out. Each pathologist has responsibility for presenting pathology at one or more tumor boards.
