RN / LPN Med / Surg Full-time Days

Memorial Community Hospital & Health System (MCH) is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our dedicated Medical / Surgical team. In this role, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care by assessing, planning, implementing, and documenting nursing care for a diverse patient population. You'll collaborate closely with providers and fellow team members during routine care, examinations, and procedures, while promoting patient independence and wellness.

Position Details :

• Schedule : Three 12-hour day shifts (6 : 00 AM - 6 : 30 PM), totaling 36 hours per week.
• Department : Medical / Surgical Unit

Key Responsibilities :

• Deliver safe, effective, and compassionate care to patients across med / surg and skilled nursing settings.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care and education.
• Perform assessments, develop care plans, and document patient progress.
• Administer medications and treatments safely via various routes.
• Respond to both routine and emergency patient needs.
• Participate in patient admissions, obtain informed consent, and complete timely documentation.
• Support a culture of teamwork by cross-training and floating to other nursing departments as needed.

Qualifications :

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN or LPN license in Nebraska or Iowa (required).
• BLS certification (required).
• ACLS certification (required for RNs or within 90 days of hire).
• BSN preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience (RN or LPN) preferred.
