SMT Machine Operator

POSITION SUMMARY : The SMT Operator will be responsible for both automated and manual surface mount manufacturing (SMT). This includes the set-up, operation, and adjustment for all SMT equipment. The role will meet / maintain equipment company standards and qualitity assurance / documentation. = ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS : Independently operates SMT automatic assembly equipment : Screen Printer, SPI, Pick & Place, Reflow Oven and X-Ray machine to produce high quality complex circuit board assemblies. Responsible to setup, read and understand BOM / Set-up lists, Assembly Instructions, and assembly notes. Prepares and loads components to feeders. Familiar with the ESD handling procedures of sensitive electronic devices. Maintains a helpful and supportive attitude. Other duties may be assigned May require overtime GUIDELINES (ABILITIES, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILLS) : Ability to follow directions and procedures accurately and efficiently Ability to be trained and learn the operations of equipment Possesses strong attention to detail Good computer skills, and MS Office Good communication skills both verbal and written Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, walk, bend, push / pull, carry and reach a full load magazine of PCBA. The operator will need to unload / load PCBA every 20 to 30 minutes depending on the assembly part number EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE : Highschool diploma / equivalent or higher education 1 year experience in Solder Mount Technology (SMT) is preferred
