Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for an experienced Special Education Teacher to support young learners in an elementary school setting specializing in early childhood special education. This full-time, contract position runs through May 21, 2026, and is based onsite in the Phoenix, AZ area.
Responsibilities include teaching in a self-contained classroom with a maximum of eight students, providing tailored instruction primarily to children with high needs, including those on the autism spectrum. The role involves delivering specialized instruction in a half-day program (morning and afternoon sessions), with typical teacher hours from 7 : 00 AM to 3 : 30 PM. The teacher will also collaborate closely with paraprofessionals, leading and supporting them in executing individualized education programs (IEPs), and assist non-certified team members with IEP development and meetings, including participation in Kinder transition IEPs beginning in January.
