Interim Nonprofit Accounting Manager

A company is looking for an Interim Not For Profit Accounting Manager to join their team on a contract-to-hire basis.

Key Responsibilities :

Manage the monthly close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

Oversee billing and financial reporting for state, federal, and local contracts / grants

Lead audit preparation and maintain processes for internal controls and compliance with nonprofit accounting standards

Qualifications :

Hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable in a fast-paced nonprofit environment

Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks-type systems) and payroll systems (Rippling is a plus)

Prior experience in nonprofit accounting, grant / contract billing, and audit preparation preferred

Ability to translate financial information for non-financial staff
