Job Description

As a Security Officer - Retail Patrol in Norman, OK , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail / Malls, and more. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you’ll use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and Pick up open shifts based on your availability—giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting regular patrols in a dynamic retail environment. Your visible presence and proactive approach support a welcoming atmosphere for guests and staff while providing exceptional customer service. You will play a key role in communicating with individuals throughout the location, assisting with inquiries, and addressing concerns promptly. Pay Rate : $18.50 / Hour

What You'll Do :

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies at the retail location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting emergency response activities as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail environment and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
  • Observe and report any suspicious persons, activities, or hazards encountered during patrols.
  • Work closely with retail staff and visitors to address concerns and answer questions in a professional manner.
  • Document incidents, observations, and any actions taken using Allied Universal protocols.
  • Remain alert to changing conditions within the retail environment and respond appropriately to maintain a welcoming and orderly atmosphere.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
