Role Overview : The Program Coordinator assists with receiving, recording, and assigning cases reported to the BMV Fraud and Security Enforcement Department. You will utilize various software platforms to support agency functions and to respond to customer inquiries.

This position is located in the central BMV offices at the Indiana Government Center in Indianapolis, Indiana. The salary for this position traditionally starts at $39,000 annually and may be commensurate with education and experience. Use our Compensation Calculator to view the total compensation package.

A Day in the Life : The essential functions of this role are :

  • Reviews the number of active investigations for the Fraud and Security Performance Department.
  • Reviews random transactions executed by Branch CSR's.
  • Input case data into the record management system and assign cases to investigators.
  • Maintains a high-level turnaround time for law enforcement requests.
  • Maximizes the use of facial recognition software.
  • Law enforcement outreach and partnership.
  • Initial input of all case reports by gathering the necessary documents for investigations.
  • Assist customers contacting the BMV about fraud and customers about their active fraud cases.

    What You'll Need for Success : This person must have the following requirements to be considered for employment :

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Three years full-time professional experience in administrative support, business administration, program support, public administration, or related experience. May substitute accredited college training on a year-for-year basis.
  • BMV policy and procedures experience preferred but not required.
  • STARS experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure.
  • Knowledge of MS Office (Word and Excel).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a small office setting.
  • Organizational skills.
  • Time Management.
  • Experience in working with confidential information.
  • Supervisory Responsibilities / Direct Reports : This role may be utilized in a supervisory capacity based on agency needs.
