A well-established mechanical contractor is seeking a Project Engineer to support HVAC, plumbing, and piping projects across commercial, institutional, and industrial work. This role is ideal for someone early in their construction career who wants hands-on exposure to both the office and field side of mechanical construction with a clear path for growth.
Support Project Managers with daily project coordination and documentation
Prepare, track, and distribute RFIs, submittals, and shop drawings
Coordinate material procurement and track lead times
Assist with schedule updates and weekly look-ahead planning
Support change order documentation, pricing, and tracking
Help monitor job cost reports, billing, and pay applications
Maintain organized project files within Procore or similar systems
Attend coordination meetings and assist with meeting notes
Work with field teams and subcontractors to resolve jobsite issues
Assist with project closeout including O&M manuals and as-builts
2+ years of experience in mechanical construction
Background in HVAC, plumbing, or piping preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field preferred
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications
Familiarity with RFIs, submittals, and construction documentation workflows
Strong organization, follow-through, and communication skills
Motivated to grow into a Project Manager role over time
