ResponsibilitiesCentral Florida Behavioral Hospital is a -bed, private psychiatric center located in Orlando, FL. The hospital provides -hour emergency services. Central Florida Behavioral Hospital offers a full continuum of care including inpatient treatment services for children, adolescents and adults; and partial hospitalization, intensive out-patient and ECT services for adults. Our treatment philosophy is based on a team approach that treats patients with dignity and respect, while delivering high-quality care.
Position Summary
The Nurse Supervisor (RN) is responsible for the delivery of quality nursing care for all patients on the In-patient and RTC units. The Nurse Supervisor has the authority to adjust staffing as necessary for the day, evening, night and weekend shifts. The Nurse Supervisor will oversee all unit activities including, but not limited to, admissions, discharges, crisis intervention, restraint and/or seclusion, Baker Acts, relieving for break or meals. The Nurse Supervisor manages the Mental Health Techs working on the unit as part of the nursing team, administers prescribed medications and provides medication for the nursing staff when the Pharmacy is closed. The Nurse Supervisor will coordinate all medical codes, whether real or mock, and ensure they are carried out appropriately and safely.
