Responsibilities Central Florida Behavioral Hospital is a -bed, private psychiatric center located in Orlando, FL. The hospital provides -hour emergency services. Central Florida Behavioral Hospital offers a full continuum of care including inpatient treatment services for children, adolescents and adults; and partial hospitalization, intensive out-patient and ECT services for adults. Position Summary
The Nurse Supervisor (RN) is responsible for the delivery of quality nursing care for all patients on the In-patient and RTC units. The Nurse Supervisor has the authority to adjust staffing as necessary for the day, evening, night and weekend shifts. The Nurse Supervisor will oversee all unit activities including, but not limited to, admissions, discharges, crisis intervention, restraint and/or seclusion, Baker Acts, relieving for break or meals. The Nurse Supervisor manages the Mental Health Techs working on the unit as part of the nursing team, administers prescribed medications and provides medication for the nursing staff when the Pharmacy is closed. The Nurse Supervisor will coordinate all medical codes, whether real or mock, and ensure they are carried out appropriately and safely.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates knowledge in the completion of pre-admission assessments and response to crisis calls and follow-up.
- Demonstrates proficiency and skill in basic nursing procedures and refers to policy and procedures as needed.
- Oversees the correct assessment, implementation, and documentation of suicide, elopement, and special observation precautions according to policy and procedures.
- Counsels staff at the time that inappropriate job behaviors are noted.
- Can correctly perform and direct CPR and Handle With Care; assists with accurate nursing assessments.

About Universal Health Services
Qualifications - Graduate of an accredidited school of professional nursing.
- Two (2) years experience as a Registered Nurse required. Two (2) years experience in psychiatric nursing preferred. Knowledge of current nursing procedures, the nursing process, medications and their correct administration.
- Current license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Florida required. Prefer AMA certification in psychiatric nursing.
