Security Officer - Access Control Desk

As a Security Officer - Access Control Desk in Honolulu, HI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol commercial real estate locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. You will provide excellent customer service, communicate clearly with tenants and visitors, and support a welcoming atmosphere. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required. Pay Rate : $22.71 / Hour

Job Schedule : Day Time

Monday 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

Tuesday 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

Wednesday 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

Saturday 06 : 00 AM - 02 : 00 PM

Sunday 06 : 00 AM - 02 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including access control measures at the location.
  • Monitor and control entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access and / or suspicious activity.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and its perimeter to help to deter potential security-related issues.
  • Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activity, security-related hazards, or maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with emergency response activities as required by site protocols and Allied Universal procedures.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of access control activities, incidents, and daily events.
  • Communicate professionally with tenants, visitors, and building management to provide assistance and information as needed.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • State, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
