Postdoctoral Fellows will engage in groundbreaking, multi-disciplinary research in close collaboration with research groups in the Systems Engineering Department and other departments at CSU. Candidates with a demonstrated research background in one or more of the following topics are encouraged to apply :

  • Energy Systems
  • Automotive Systems
  • Transportation Systems
  • Human Factors
  • Cybersecurity
  • Model-based Systems Engineering
  • Design optimization, controls, and analytics
  • Situational robotics and awareness
  • Augmented and Virtual Reality Experience Design and Educational Technologies

The open positions are temporary assignments. Assignments are 6-12 months, can be extended up to 2 years. Annual terms and reappointment may depend on performance and / or the continued availability of funding.

  • Applicants must hold a or documentation of completion of requirements in a related field by the position start date
  • Relevant research experience in related field
  • Additional required qualifications and salary determined by the specific position to be filled

  • Authored or co-authored peer- reviewed manuscripts
  • Experience in multiple research models
  • Evidence of successful student mentoring in research environment
  • Willingness to work in a collaborative environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work as a part of a team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Previous scholarly or industrial experience in the fields of systems engineering
