Job Description

Seeking an experienced Margin & Risk Management to serve as the senior leader responsible for overseeing all margin calculations, client risk monitoring, and firmwide risk controls for the equities business, while also helping build and scale the firm’s equity options margin and risk framework as the platform expands. This role requires deep knowledge of broker-dealer operations, regulatory margin requirements, and clearing firm methodologies.

Sitting at the intersection of risk management, operations, finance, and compliance, this position is highly hands-on and requires a detail-oriented expert capable of managing day-to-day risk exposure while developing scalable processes and controls that support business growth and regulatory expectations.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of experience in margin, risk management, prime brokerage, clearing operations, or a related function within a broker-dealer or clearing firm.
• Deep knowledge of equity margin requirements, regulatory rules, and clearing firm methodologies.
• Experience with or exposure to equity options margining, options risk, or derivatives margin frameworks strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of Regulation T, portfolio margin, and OCC | clearinghouse margin models.
• Proven ability to manage risk in a fast-moving trading environment, including real-time decision-making.
• Excellent analytical skills and a high level of attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate risk issues to senior leadership and business stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree, FINRA licenses, or risk / certification credentials (e.g., FRM, CFA) are a plus.
• Hands-on, solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to build processes and frameworks from the ground up.
