Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an EP Lab position requiring EP and Cath Lab competencies, a PA or compact RN license, and Epic experience.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a hospital invasive cardiology unit with 4 Cardiac Cath Labs and 2 Electrophysiology labs
  • Care for patients requiring advanced cardiovascular procedures such as TAVR, VAD / ECMO, ablations, pacemaker / ICD implants, and related interventions
  • Shifts are 10 hours between 6 : 00 am and 7 : 00 pm, days only, with weekend coverage as needed
  • May be required to stay until the last patient is cared for
  • Floating may be required based on unit needs
  • Epic charting experience is required
  • Responsible for providing nursing care during advanced cardiovascular procedures and interventions
  • No holiday shifts required
  • Call is not required for this position
  • Must be comfortable caring for COVID patients if needed
  • The facility is tobacco and fragrance free
  • A maximum of 7 days of requested time off is allowed during the contract
  • Local candidates living within 50 miles are accepted at a lower pay rate
  • Prestart modules (approximately 5-6 hours) must be completed prior to beginning the assignment
  • Team structure includes prep / recovery bays and multidisciplinary support

    • Requirements

  • Active PA or compact RN license without restrictions
  • Minimum of 2 years of RN experience
  • Current ACLS and BLS certification (AHA or ARC only)
  • EP and Cardiac Cath Lab competencies required
  • Experience using Epic EMR is required
