Senior Cloud Engineer

Summary:

• The Senior Cloud Engineer is a Senior role within the Enterprise Applications Team that is critical in the support of our client’s application portfolio.
• This position requires proficiency in all aspects of Microsoft Azure Cloud deployment, configuration, third-party integration, implementation, and support.
• The candidate should be self-driven and self-sufficient and will work closely within other teams within the Strategics Accounts Engineering Group and client contacts to provide high-quality operational and project support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support clients’ existing Microsoft Entra, Intune, Intune Mobile and M365 infrastructure, including configuration and new feature updates.
• Resolve performance issues and complete root cause resolution.
• Gather client requirements for configuration, customization and integration and deliver these requirements to the client’s satisfaction.
• Design, test and implement installation processes for upgrades and new cloud applications.
• Provide clear and early communication, ensuring that all relevant parties are kept informed of progress, issues, and difficulties.
• Document standard resolutions so that common issues can be resolved without requiring escalation.
• Train other staff members as needed.
• Work with the client’s InfoSec Team on best practices for cloud services.
• Provide support, guidance and monitoring of infrastructure and equipment related to enterprise applications.
• Participate in thorough impact analysis of all assigned application and infrastructure activities and understand the impact of work on systems and the business.
• Ensure applications follow security best practices using established standards such as Center for Internet Security.
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree. 6 years of experience supporting enterprise and business applications. 4 years of cloud infrastructure experience with Azure. 4 years hands on experience with Entra, Intune, Intune Mobile, Conditional Access and M365.
• Ability to complete root cause analysis on application-related issues.
• Expert problem-solving skills in multiple operating environments.

• Strong technical documentation skills.
• Strong Power BI.
• Strong PowerShell scripting.
• Strong understanding of the design, deployment and maintenance of Microsoft Entra, Intune and M365 including new cloud subscriptions, conditional access, migration to M365 Universal add-ins from COM/VSTO add-ins.
• Familiarity with virtual environments and cloud solutions.
• Familiarity with vulnerability scanning tools such as Nessus and Qualys.
