Position Summary
The Manager, Clinical Service promotes family-centered care by subscribing to and supporting Phoenix Childrenâ€s mission and values. This position manages, evaluates and supervises operational functions and activities of an assigned area by guiding and supporting staff. The Manager, Clinical Service also serves as a liaison with other departments to plan, implement, communicate, evaluate and coordinate patient care operations across the enterprise, while also facilitating quick resolution of issues to ensure excellence in a family centered care environment.
Education
- Bachelorâ€s in Nursing. (Required)
- Masterâ€s degree in related field. (Preferred)
Experience
- Five years of experience in the specialty area or with a pediatric patient population to include leadership and / or supervisory responsibilities. (Required)
Certifications
- Current AZ RN license or an RN license from a compact state with multistate privileges or the ability to establish licensure to Arizona law prior to start date. (Required)
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association. (Required)
- PALS certification from the American Heart Association within one year of hire. (Preferred)
- National nursing or related certification ( CPN, CCRN, CNML) (Preferred)
Special Skills
- Analytical and statistical skills necessary to develop and monitor unit operating and personnel budgets. (Required)
- Demonstrates critical thinking and problem solving abilities in order to resolve complex clinical, systems and personnel problems and issues which affect the unit and inpatient departments (Required)

- Must be able to assume 24-hour accountability for unit coverage. (Required)
