Summary :

Manages the daily operations of the Environmental Services (EVS) Department for assigned area(s). Effectively supervises personnel to support the mission / achieve the strategic objectives of The MetroHealth System. Ensures that assigned area(s) are clean, safe, and operating in compliance with all applicable health and safety standards / regulations / laws. Assesses current operations, identifies changes that should be made for operational / efficiency needs, and anticipates the impact of changes on the Environmental Services department. Evaluates systems / processes / standards, and works collaboratively with the Director – Environmental Services to design and / or make improvements to achieve goals pertaining to efficiency / maintaining effective operations. Demonstrated proficient knowledge of industry best practices regarding the proper operation of Environmental Services equipment / floor care chemistry as obtained via hands-on experience. Acts as a Subject Matter Expert by actively sharing industry best practice information with EVS staff / other employees of The MetroHealth System, actively assessing current processes / procedures, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.
