EMPLOYMENT TYPE : Full-time 40 hours / wk

SCHEDULED HOURS : Sunday Monday Tuesday Wednesday and Saturday 11pm-7 : 30 am

ABOUT THE PROGRAM : Roots to Recovery

Roots to Recovery : A Holistic Approach to Substance Use Treatment (R2R) is an intermediate 24 / 7 residential treatment for men in need of a structured environment to continue building upon their recovery skills. There are 14 beds and it is a 90 day maximum intermediate (3.5) residential substance abuse treatment are referred from intensive treatment programs emergency room staff and / or detox programs. Clients with co-occurring disorders and on Methadone maintenance are accepted.

ABOUT THE POSITION : Residential Aide

Duties & Responsibilities

• Maintains physical environment and program standards to CHR DMHAS JCAHO and any other licensing standard.
• Monitors medications of all residents in accordance with the Adult residential medication policy and procedure.
• Effectively utilizes appropriate communication methods / tools to transfer information to other staff regarding the days events.
• Teaches and assists all residents in areas of rehab including : nutrition and healthy living meal preparation hygiene laundry banking and budgeting and basic home care skills.
• Assists / Manages administrative functions and tasks at the direction of the supervisor
• Prepares and facilitates educational and skill building groups and one to one interventions as directed by the treatment plan.
• Collaborates and coordinate care with providers and families as needed.
• Assists residents in addressing medical and psychiatric needs.
• Maintains documentation in compliance with agency and program standards.
• Participates in staff meetings supervision trainings and other meetings as assigned.
• Additional duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS :

Education : High diploma or GED required.

Experience : Two years experience working with a relevant population preferred.

Licensure / Certification / Registration : Valid drivers license required with good driving record.

COMPENSATION

$18.38 / hr minimum and up commensurate upon experience.
