Equipment Operator

Pioneer Recycling Services , a Waste Connections company, is searching for our next All-Star Equipment Operator to join us at our transfer station in Clackamas, OR (16810 SE 120th Ave, Clackamas, OR 97015).

Starting rate of pay is $29.00 / HR - $31.00 / HR DOE

Schedule is Monday - Friday , with occasional Saturday work as needed.

Shift is 12 : 30 PM - 9 : 00 PM

Safety Sensitive : Yes

Qualified candidates must have Front End Loader & Forklift experience.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

Equipment Operators are responsible for running the loader that supports our MRF operations.

REQUIRES ability to efficiently & safely operate Front End Loader & Forklift . Compactor experience preferred.

Performs routine inspection and maintenance on vehicles such as checking oil, water, and tires.

Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies.

Promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.

Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT :

Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 50 pounds.

Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.

Ability to operate heavy equipment is required.

Knowledge of basic computer skills.

Knowledge of light and heavy equipment operation and maintenance.

Knowledge of basic vehicle inspection and maintenance including tire pressure, checking oil and water levels.

Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS :

High school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum 500-hours of Heavy Equipment Operating experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Heavy Equipment Operating certification from an accredited trade school preferred .

Basic knowledge of computer skills.

Pre-employment requirements for this safety sensitive position include drug panel screening & criminal background check.
