Cooperidge Consulting Firm is seeking a Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical (Med / Surg) for a top healthcare client in Kansas City, MO .
This role provides comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with diverse medical, surgical, cardiac, and neurologic conditions in a Level I Trauma Facility. The Med / Surg unit offers an excellent opportunity for nurses to broaden their clinical expertise in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment that emphasizes compassionate, patient-centered care.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Deliver high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to patients with varying medical and post-surgical conditions.
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting care plans as necessary.
- Supervise and delegate tasks to non-licensed staff within scope of practice.
- Provide education and emotional support to patients and families throughout the care continuum.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care and optimal outcomes.
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, nursing standards, and safety protocols.
Requirements
Education
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing (ADN or BSN) requiredExperience
Minimum of 1 year of acute care RN experience required (does not need to be recent)Certifications / Licenses
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license or compact license requiredBasic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hireSkills or Competencies
