A Board-Certified Medical Oncologist is needed for locum coverage in Warren, Boardman, and Youngstown, OH. The physician will provide both inpatient and outpatient oncology care, including prescribing and administering chemotherapy and managing diagnostic tests. This position involves a Monday-Friday schedule with weekend on-call rotations and is focused on adult and geriatric patient populations.

Position Overview :

Seeking a Board-Certified Medical Oncologist to provide locum coverage across multiple locations, including Warren, Boardman, and Youngstown, OH , for inpatient and outpatient oncology care.

Coverage Dates :

  • March 24 March 30, 2025
  • May 26 June 1, 2025
  • June 18, 2025

Schedule Details :

  • Shift : Monday Friday, 8 : 00 AM 5 : 00 PM
  • Weekend Call : 1 : 4 rotation
  • On-Call Requirements : 1 : 4 weekend call

    • Practice Details :

  • Patient Population : Adult and Geriatric
  • Team Composition : 3 physicians and 2 APPs
  • Clinical Setting : Inpatient and outpatient oncology across Warren, Boardman, and Youngstown locations
  • Required Duties :
  • Prescribe and administer chemotherapy (nurses handle administration)
  • Order imaging and diagnostic tests
  • Required Procedures :
  • Chemotherapy (Intrathecal, Intracavitary - Intrapleural / Peritoneal)

  • Boardman : Non-Trauma
  • EMR : EPIC

    • Requirements :

  • Board Certification : Required
  • Licensure : Active Ohio medical license required
  • Certifications :

  • Vaccines :
  • Flu vaccine required at credentialing
  • COVID vaccine preferred

    • Credentialing Timeframe : Approximately 120 days
