A company is looking for a Collections - Recovery Collector.
Key Responsibilities
Contact charged-off loan members to arrange suitable repayment plans and accurately record collection activities
Negotiate settlements with members to maximize recovery for the credit union
Assist management with legal processes related to charged-off accounts and ensure proper allocation of recovery payments
Required Qualifications
3 years of hands-on collection experience with secured and unsecured loans
Strong background in bankruptcy laws, foreclosures, repossessions, and the Fair Debt Collection Practice Act
Knowledge of legal processes related to collections
Two-year college degree or equivalent related experience preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
