As a Security Officer - Retail Patrols PT in Sunnyvale, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail / Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help to deter security-related incidents and promote a welcoming environment. Your visible presence and strong communication skills will support loss prevention and access control, while delivering exceptional customer service to guests and staff. Pay Rate : $18.54 / Hour

What You'll Do :

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, responding as appropriate to emergency situations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support the well-being of people and property at the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist visitors, customers, and / or staff with directions and general inquiries, maintaining a professional presence throughout the location.
  • Follow instructions from Allied Universal leadership and client representatives regarding security-related operations and protocols.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Experience in loss prevention is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
