Overview

This is a hands-on Controller role reporting directly to the CFO at a well-established insurance organization based in Tulsa. You'll own the full accounting function and play a key role in financial leadership, controls, and decision-making. This role blends strategic oversight with hands-on execution and is ideal for an accounting leader who thrives in a stable, growing insurance environment. Full relocation is covered.

What You'll Do

• Lead all core accounting functions including month-end close, general ledger, journal entries, and work-in-process reporting
• Own and continuously improve internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures
• Partner with the CFO and senior leadership to provide insight into financial performance, trends, and risks
• Prepare and review financial statements and management reporting
• Lead quarterly accounting reviews, annual audits, and coordination with external auditors and tax advisors
• Oversee statutory reporting, tax, treasury, AP, and AR functions
• Manage cash flow, bank relationships, and working capital requirements
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements
• Lead, mentor, and develop accounting teams across multiple functions
• Drive process improvements, systems enhancements, and special projects as assigned by the CFO or VP Finance
