TIBCO Integration Programmer Senior

Job Description

Join one of the nations most comprehensive academic medical centers, UChicago Medicine, as a TIBCO Integration Programmer Senior in our IT Enterprise Architecture department. This is a remote, work?from?home opportunity and you may be based outside of the greater Chicagoland area.

In this role, the TIBCO Integration Programmer Senior formulates and defines project scope and objectives through research and fact?finding to develop or modify in?house developed applications and / or programs. The position is competent to work on most phases of application development lifecycle activities, including design and code, but requires instruction and guidance in other phases such as analysis, test, and conversion. The role is responsible for documenting and supporting these in?house developed applications and / or programs. The person will develop, configure, and support Integration components using the TIBCO Integration platform and tools such as TIBCO BusinessWorks Container Edition (BW CE), EMS, CEP, ActiveSpaces, and Managed File Transfer (MFT).

Essential Job Functions

• Participate in system development lifecycle activities : design, code, test and debug, document, and maintain programs with general supervision.
• Develop and maintain integration solutions using TIBCO BusinessWorks Container Edition (BW CE) for cloud?native or containerized deployments.
• Create detailed program specifications while ensuring expected application performance levels are achieved through management of interfaces, service levels, standards, and configurations.
• Develop, unit?test, debug, document, and maintain TIBCO integration components.
• Collaborate closely with teams throughout all stages of the software development lifecycle, including design, development, and testing.
• Establish, refine, and integrate development and test environment tools and software as needed.
• Configure and maintain MFT profiles.
• Provide application support and work with vendors and infrastructure teams to support complex issues.
• Participate in projects leveraging a mature SDLC, from analysis and requirements documentation, design, test plan development, testing, and launch of applicable system elements.
• Use data strategically to drive decisions and solutions.
• Conduct research and fact?finding to develop or modify moderately complex information systems.
• Participate in scheduled weekend and evening on?call support rotation.
• Monitor operating efficiency and identify opportunities to fine?tune and optimize applications, recommending technical solutions.
• Demonstrate proficiency in methodologies and standards established through the Project Management Office (PMO).
• Troubleshoot application system problems and make improvements as needed.
• Analyze and implement solutions for production or testing problems, seeking support when necessary.
• Identify and document standards for operating the application or program.
• Follow and implement change control standards and procedures.

Compensation & Benefits Overview

UChicago Medicine is committed to transparency in compensation and benefits. The pay range reflects the anticipated wage or salary reasonably expected to be offered for the position. The range is based on a full?time equivalent (1.0 FTE) and is reflective of current market data, reviewed annually. Compensation offered at the time of hire will vary based on candidate qualifications, experience, and organizational considerations such as internal equity. Pay ranges for employees subject to collective bargaining agreements are negotiated by the medical center and respective union.
