Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant

Per-Diem Cardiothoracic Surgery NP / PA Opportunity

Excellent opportunity for a physician assistant or nurse practitioner to join our 4 skilled surgeons and six other allied health professionals in a well-established, hospital-employed practice. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

• Rounding on each patient upon arrival.
• Addressing any issues with nurse throughout the night and if needed for major issues.
• Performing any minor procedures at the bed side as needed with direction of surgeon, and reviewing any lab work and / or tests ordered during the day.
• Rounding throughout the night on all patients as needed.
• The successful candidate will have 2-5 years of experience.
• ICU / CCU experience and the ability to read radiological tests such as chest x-rays and CT scans.
• Ability to do chest tube insertion, central line and arterial line placement a plus.
