The following position is to join our RTX Corporate Communications Team team :

RTX is seeking a skilled and strategic Associate Director of Public Affairs for Defense to help shape and execute communications strategies that support RTXs defense policy and business this role you will collaborate across teams to develop and implement advocacy initiatives thought leadership efforts and policy-focused campaigns that engage key stakeholders and advance the companys priorities. You will work closely with internal and external partners to align communications strategies manage pressing issues and contribute to RTXs reputation as a leader in the aerospace and defense industry. This role offers an exciting opportunity to drive meaningful impact through integrated public affairs efforts.

What You Will Do :

• Develop and execute advocacy communications strategies to advance RTX defense policy and business priorities leveraging thought leadership media relations marketing third party advocacy crisis response digital advocacy and coalition building. Ensure advocacy strategies align with RTX Business Unit RTX Communications and Global Government Relations goals and are supported by performance metrics to optimize effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
• Partner closely with the RTX Communications centers of excellence (COEs) and subject matter experts in Global Government Relations and the Business Units to drive and shape policy outcomes through Public Affairs solutions reaching the Executive branch U.S. Congress U.S. Department of Defense.
• Support policy-focused thought leadership to position RTX as a thought leader in key defense issues. Work with external partners such as tier 1 media organizations and think tanks to achieve objectives.
• Coordinate with multiple internal and external stakeholders to inform the companys response on pressing issues. Support the reputation management of the company to influence decisionmakers in coordination with the RTX Communications COEs.
• Integrate policy communications strategies into defense-specific RTX Communications Campaigns. Collaborate across RTX Communications COEs to contribute to campaigns such as through stakeholder mapping and developing policy messaging to help position RTX for growth.
• Supports development of and maintains communications deliverables (talking points key messages prep packages speeches holding statements etc.) in coordination with business partners and communications centers of expertise (COEs) to support public affairs communications strategies for defense policy and business priorities.

ONSITE : Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 162000 USD - 326000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education / training and key skills.
