Senior Software Test Engineer

Job Description

ASRC Federal / Broadleaf is looking for qualified candidates for a Senior Software Test Engineer position to support our IT Business Services work located in Fort Collins, CO.

Develop and execute software test plans in order to identify software problems and their causes. Software Tester / Developer to design, develop, and execute tests and report results. Create test plans from scenarios; this may include conceptualizing functional requirements. Work closely with business analysts to certify that a system meets functional requirements. Work closely with developers to analyze and communicate defects. Participate in reviews and audits of product requirements specifications, designs, code, and test plans related to the SDLC. Experience using test automation tools and developing automation processes. Understanding of functional testing methodologies (white box, black box, positive, negative, boundary, and regression testing) required.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications :

• 0-2 years experience
• 5+ years experience preferred - providing software testing support to validate requirements, develop test plans, conduct code audits, and participate in code reviews to analyze and communicate code defects to the development team.
• Experience with test automation and understanding of functional testing methodologies. (Experience conducting this support for natural resource systems is preferred.)
• Experience in Quality Assurance test planning, test case design, and execution.
• Experienced writing and executing SQL queries, using views and stored procedures.
• Comfortable with MS SQL Server Management Studio.
• Experienced in creating Test Plans (including manual tests, Selenium (.side files) tests, service / API tests, UAT, etc.).
• Familiar with MS DevOps (Product / Sprint backlogs, PBIs / Bugs, Test Plans, Test Cases, Pipelines).
• Experience with Selenium IDE and ReadyAPI or similar tools.
• Comfortable looking at error logs to help troubleshoot issues.
• Comfortable configuring apps running in MS Windows Server 2019 and IIS.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS :

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
