We're immediately hiring associates for our Meat Department. Meat cutters, Butchers, and experienced Meat Clerks are needed.

Cleaning, packaging, and cutting meatEnsuring proper presentation of our meat items along with providing a smile, greeting, and assisting customers who visit our Store.Ensures meat and deli items are handled, stocked, rotated and merchandisedChecks product temperature to ensure freshness and qualityAbility to maintain a knife grip in order to cut meat to specificationAbility to weigh, price, label, organize and rotate meat products per Marukai' standardsUnloading meat and deli Items upon vendor deliveriesChecks product temperature to ensure freshness and qualityAbility to weigh, price, label, organize and rotate perishable products per Marukai' standardsEnsures that all meat products are in its right place, so shoppers can find what they need quickly and easilyOperating pallet jack, scissor lift, baler, compactor and scrub machineUnpacking and stocking meat itemsMaintaining cleanliness of the store / store upkeepMust clean and sanitize work areasWork Environment will be in extreme temperatureCustomer Service :

High School Diploma or GED equivalentMust be 18 or older to use sharp knives, use ladders, scaffolds or their substitutes, substitutes above 6 feet in height, and to operate or assist in operating power-driven machinery or equipment.Must be able to use job related equipment such as slicer, scale, saw, knife and wrapperNo experience required, but a minimum of 1-2 years of work experience in a similar work environment is preferredPrevious experience as a Butcher or Meat Cutter is preferredPossess a CA Food Handling license or the ability to acquire oneMust be able to lift up to 20 pounds without aidExposure to potential hazards exists with respect to equipment and work aides necessary to perform job duties. Hands are in frequent contact with water, vegetables, and meat while performing job duties.Requirements
