DescriptionThe Simulation Educator plays a vital role in supporting and enhancing simulation-based learning experiences for both undergraduate and graduate nursing students. This position is responsible for supporting the implementation of clinical simulation experiences. The Simulation Educator will also contribute to procedural skills training, clinical practice labs, and teaching support across the lab experiences. This role works with faculty and other lab personnel to implement planned activities and simulation experiences. Duties include setting up appropriate task trainers, manikins, supplies, and other equipment, implementing simulation experiences, skills instruction and coaching. This individual will also support the daily lab operations as needed. This is an onsite, non-remote position. RESPONSIBILITES:
QualificationsBachelor's degree in Nursing required. A minimum of two years of clinical work experience as a registered nurse required. Medical-Surgical experience is strongly preferred. Prior teaching experience is preferred. Currently licensed or licensed by endorsement as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing required. Able to work towards Certification in simulation education (e.g., CHSE). BSN required.
