Senior Software Developer in Test (SDET)

Location : Hybrid (Greater Dallas / Fort Worth)

Summary

SafetyChain Software is seeking a Senior SDET to drive and elevate our quality engineering initiatives. This role is built for someone who operates with high autonomy, takes initiative without waiting for direction, and can independently move complex testing efforts from idea to delivery. Youll shape test architecture and strategy, introduce meaningful automation and performance improvements, and act as a force multiplier across engineering.

Youll also be expected to leverage modern AI-assisted engineering tools to accelerate analysis, test development, debugging, and documentation treating AI as a practical productivity multiplier. While youll collaborate closely with QA, Development, Product, and Support, much of your impact will come from transforming ambiguity into working solutions and moving projects forward with minimal red tape.

What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities) :

Automation Engineering & Quality Execution

• Architect, implement, and maintain end-to-end automated testing frameworks for web and mobile applications using TypeScript with Playwright and WebDriverIO.
• Implement and evolve test approaches across functional, regression, integration, UI, performance, and load testing layers.
• Integrate and maintain automated tests within our CI / CD pipelines in GitHub Actions.
• Analyze performance testing using JMeter and proactively identify bottlenecks.
• Own test case traceability using Xray and drive release testing from inception through delivery.
• Serve as a technical go-to person for automation and tooling, offering code reviews, best practices, and implementation guidance.
• Support observability, diagnostics, and issue triage in production environments alongside DevOps and Product teams.
