Capital Project Engineer/ Manager

Join our expanding global chemical manufacturing client as the Sr. Project Manager with strategic responsibility for defining, managing and executing capital and major expense projects. The Project Manager is the single point of accountability for the end-to-end execution of assigned Capital projects in the range of $1-10MM+. Qualifications:
–BS Chemical or Mechanical Engineering degree with 8+ yrs CAPEX projects in chemical, food, pharma, or related PSM manufacturing industries.
–Prior experience managing and leading multi-disciplined teams in an EPC or manufacturing industry.
–Proven background in project organization, controlling cost and schedule, risk management, reporting, escalation and resolution.
–PMP certification is desirable.

Responsibilitites:
— Develop and manage capital project scopes, timelines, and budgets in accordance with company goals and objectives.
— Support the expectations of the (internal) customer by defining and managing a project communication plan.
— Manage and define the stagegate approach for project conception, design, cost, schedule, commissioning thru startup.
— Coordinate and manage project schedule and deliverables with contractors and vendors.
— Define and implement specific performance indicators and periodical reporting.
— Develop and provide project documentation, including plans, progress, and risk assessments to Team, Site and Corporate stakeholders.
— Ensure SHE processes are executed during design, construction and commissioning for capital projects.
— Evaluate the project and define improvement recommendations for future projects.
