For over 35 years, HCN has provided culturally responsive, trauma-informed, community-based mental health and wellness services across the city, with a focus on Black / African American families and communities most disproportionately affected by structural racism. HCNs model is rooted in healing justice, cultural humility, deep community partnerships, and a commitment to increasing access to mental health services for families who are often underserved or overlooked by traditional systems of care. Through individual therapy, family support, workforce development, early childhood consultation, leadership programs, and community wellness initiatives, HCN serves thousands of children and families each year.
