Supervise the activities and employees of the Animal Shelter including performing all duties of an Animal Control Officer as necessary.
Associates degree in related field plus some supervisory experience and one year of experience in the field. Background experience must show the ability to handle a variety of domestic animals or ranch or farm animals. Preferred experience in proper recognition and care of sick, injured and diseased animals. Must be in good physical condition to handle the lifting and caring of moderately heavy animals. Valid Arizona driver's license.
An equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved may be considered.
Residency within sixty miles of the corporate limits of the City of Douglas, within the United States, required within a reasonable time after hire date. Must complete a CPR course; Fear Free Shelter certified; Euthanasia certified within 3 months of employment.
