Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist
The Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist is the senior supply chain management officer for VA Puget Sound Health Care System (VAPSHCS) who oversees, guides, manages and integrates supply chain operations across the organization with multiple sites of care and support, and is responsible for the development and integration of a cohesive, forward-looking supply chain that ensures all logistical requirements. Responsibilities include establishing, monitoring and managing performance and measurement of logistics functions throughout VAPS-HCS for all aspects of supply chain, conducting logistics audits, compliance reviews and program effectiveness and efficiency reviews, overseeing, guiding, managing and integrating supply chain operations, ensuring efficient allocation of resources for assets through the entire lifecycle, managing multi-million-dollar budgets, planning and coordinating with fiscal, acquisition, clinical and administrative operations, analyzing the supply chain to develop actions as a result of analysis results, and performing other duties as assigned.
Work Schedule : Monday through Friday, 7 : 30 AM to 4 : 00 PM PDT. Virtual : This is not a virtual position.

Qualifications to qualify for this position include meeting all requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement, 12 / 05 / 2025. Time-In-Grade Requirement : Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS-13 grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. The grade may have been in any occupation but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade.

Physical Requirements : The work requires some physical exertion, such as long periods of standing, or recurring and considerable walking, stooping, bending, crouching and climbing such as in performing regular and periodic construction activities, field inspections, or to observe and study work operations in an individual, storage, or comparable work area. Work may also include frequent lifting of moderately heavy items weighing less than 50 pounds, such as equipment, samples and drawings.
Work Conditions : The Logistics Service conducts multiple shift operations 365 days a year. The medical center cannot be left without Logistics support. This necessitates the requirement for two or three shifts to meet emergent or unexpected demand on off hours, including afternoons, evenings, and weekend shifts. The incumbent observes normal safety precautions.
