Description
The IT Microsoft Administrator reports to the Chief Technology Officer and will be responsible for managing and maintaining Microsoft technologies and platforms. Primary duties include overseeing Microsoft 365 (M365), SharePoint, and Windows server environments, and to ensure security, performance, and operational efficiency within the NNU networks. Key duties generally include managing user accounts, licenses, and permissions in Microsoft 365 Admin Center and Azure, administering and configuring core Microsoft services, implementing security and compliance policies, monitoring system infrastructure, designing and maintaining Active Directory environments, automating administrative tasks using PowerShell scripting, managing software installations and updates, and integrating applications into Single Sign-On (SSO) frameworks. The primary goal of the IT Microsoft Administrator is to ensure the smooth operation, security, and compliance of Microsoft systems supporting NNU's IT needs. The administrator is a resource for fellow IT support personnel; is present for strategy sessions; and works closely with the Chief Technology Officer to accomplish campus-wide IT goals.
This is a full-time, exempt position which reports directly to the Chief Technology Officer. This is an onsite position located in Nampa, Idaho.
Essential Functions :
- Drive the planning, design, implementation, organization and operation of the organization's system and network infrastructure
- Integrate SSO with externally hosted vendor applications
- Continually improve security and simplification of system resources
- Evaluate new technologies fulfilling the goals and needs of the systems of the University
- Create and manage the design and purchasing the University's Microsoft licensing
- Periodically test NNU's disaster recovery plan as needed
- Responsible for the administration of cloud hosted Microsoft system integration
- Ensures software licensing compliance for all Microsoft software
- Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications
